Very impressed. Good structure to the day. Varied, well thought through and supervised activities. Food was good and sufficient for a ravenous 14 year old! Crucially however as a parent I am particularly impressed at how they deal with discipline issues. My son was bullied by a room mate and the school leapt on it instantly, moved my son into a different room and asked the child to leave. As a parent of a kid alone abroad it is very reassuring to know how well they are looked after and the staff are all hands down lovely esp the house mother for the younger kids Maria. It includes all the important information for choosing a school (which even the school itself doesn't provide): Positive points: - The school's infrastructure is excellent, modern, well-maintained, and very clean. - All the teachers and staff I met are extremely friendly and well-prepared. - The school's location is very good, close to shops, an amazing park, and with easy access to public transport. - The school truly welcomes people from all over the world, making the environment very diverse and interesting. - The distance from the student accommodations to the school is very manageable, no more than 20 meters on foot. - The school has a very good cafeteria with fair prices. - Communication with the central office via telephone is very good. Everyone is very helpful! Negative points: - The main negative point is: You don't know the exact location of your accommodation until you arrive in Valencia (and only find out 5 days beforehand). If you arrive on a Saturday or Sunday, you only have between 6 PM and 8 PM to pick up the keys, or you can hire a deluxe service that picks you up at the airport for 60 euros, including the keys. - A 200 euro security deposit is required (stated in the contract), which must be paid in cash when picking up the keys (not mentioned, and this is the inconvenience). - It was also not mentioned that the apartment would be mixed-gender, and I was surprised to see young men (very calm, I had no problems - it's just a matter of communication) in the apartment. - Also regarding the apartment, I suggest that we have clearer rules about cleaning and coexistence - printed by the house - in order to avoid conflicts between residents. - I believe that if the school had a stronger presence on social media, it would be easier to follow the schedule and engage the students! Com todas as informações que são importantes para a escolha (e nem a própria escola oferece): Pontos positivos: - A infraestrutura da escola é ótima, moderna, bem cuidada e muito limpa. - Todos os professores e funcionários que conheci são extremamente simpáticos e bem preparados. - A localização da escola é muito boa, próxima ao comércio, a um parque incrível e bem fácil acesso ao transporte público. - A escola realmente recebe pessoas de todas as partes do mundo, deixando o ambiente muito diverso e interessante. - A distância das acomodações estudantis para a escola é bem tranquila, não leva mais que 20m para percorrer andando. - A escola tem uma cafeteria muito boa e com preços justos. - A comunicação com a central via telefone é muito boa. Todos são muito solícitos! Pontos negativos: - O principal ponto negativo é: Você não sabe a localização exata da sua acomodação até chegar em Valência (e só fica sabendo disso 5 dias antes), se você chega em um sábado ou domingo, só tem entre 18:00 e 20:00 para pegar as chaves, ou contrata um serviço deluxe que te busca no aeroporto por 60 euros, já com as chaves. - É necessário deixar um caução de 200 euros (informado no contrato), que tem que ser pago em dinheiro no momento da retirada da chave (não informado, e é esse o inconveniente). - Também não foi informado que o apartamento seria misto, e me assustei quando vi rapazes (muito tranquilos, não tive problemas - é só mesmo a parte da comunicação) no apartamento. - Também sobre o apartamento, eu sugiro que tenhamos regras mais claras sobre limpeza e convivência - impressas pela casa - com a intenção de evitar conflitos entre os residentes. - Acredito que se a escola fosse mais presente nas redes sociais seria mais fácil de acompanhar a programação e engajar os alunos! De maneira geral, a maioria dos pontos a serem considerados são relacionados com a comunicação que antecede a chegada, mas o pós funciona muito bem e recomendarei a escola a todos!Beatriz PeruncelliMay 7, 2025
