Learn Spanish in Granada

Granada is a city with soul, blending grand Moorish heritage with a fun-loving, modern energy.

Apart from its historical importance Granada also offers endless cultural opportunities and entertainment. Thanks to its strong university system you will find many young students which makes Granada a lively city, perfect to learn Spanish and immediately practice all you've learned in a Spanish cultural environment.

The Alhambra is the greatest legacy from the time of the Moors. It was the centrepiece for an entire civilisation and is most memorable for its attention to detail. Decorated archways, royal gardens, impressive fountains, Islamic’ll struggle to find a more beautiful building anywhere else in Europe.

The Albaycín is a Granada district to explore on foot, without a map. It dates to the 11th century and is packed with narrow cobbled streets. There’s something to discover on every corner and not just something to see. This is a district that will impress on all your senses.

Granada is the home of real tapas. With every drink you order the bartender brings out a plate, or lid, of food to ear. Authentic bars don’t have a tapas menu, they give you tapas so you keep ordering drinks. It’s a way to experience local Granandino culture, every evening.

Sierra Nevada

The Sierra Nevada mountains appeal to many types of visitor. There are hiking trails galore, with some of them ideal for a full-day adventure. Small whitewashed villages are filled with Moorish culture, while other villages are perfect for a quiet weekend away from Granada.

A passionate guitar players strums away. A dancer twirls and stamps her feet. Singing fills the room. Flamenco isn’t just a show in Granada, it’s a way of life. Other than Seville there’s nowhere better in the world to experience this authentic flamenco culture.
