- Semana Santa – A unique, religious spectacle is the reason for a festive week in the city. The whole city comes out to attend this celebration and its residents and tourists are captivated by the procession. This is a religious event in which religious figures are carried on large altars throughout the streets of Malaga- some altars carried by over 150 porters.

- Feria de Málaga – The biggest summer festival of Andalusia with a funfair, horses, horse riders, music and people dancing on the streets seemingly day and night. Also, this time of year is a pinnacle time for bullfighting, a sport that takes place in the bullfight arena Plaza de Toros.
