Linguaschools exam preparation courses help students prepare for recognised Spanish language exams such as DELE, SIELE and selected Madrid Chamber of Commerce exams. These exams can be useful for university access, work, immigration procedures, professional goals or personal proof of Spanish level.
Exam preparation lessons focus on the structure of the exam, the skills tested, practice tasks and the areas where you need the most improvement. Depending on the exam and destination, preparation may take place in private lessons, group lessons or a combination of general Spanish lessons and private exam-focused lessons.
Our teachers help students understand what to expect in the exam and how to prepare more effectively. Exam fees are not included in the course price, and exam dates, centres and availability vary by destination.
The DELE exam preparation course is designed for students preparing for the official DELE qualification. DELE certificates are issued by Instituto Cervantes on behalf of Spain’s Ministry of Education and correspond to the CEFR levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2.
DELE preparation helps students become familiar with the exam format, practise the skills tested and work on the areas that need improvement before the exam. This can be useful for students who need an official Spanish qualification for university, work or other formal purposes.
DELE preparation options vary by destination. Depending on the school, students may choose private DELE lessons, group DELE lessons or a combination course with general Spanish group lessons plus private DELE-focused lessons. For example, DELE 20 + 5 and DELE 20 + 10 combine group Spanish lessons with 1 or 2 private DELE preparation lessons per weekday.
The SIELE exam preparation course is designed for students preparing for the SIELE exam, an international Spanish language evaluation service created by Instituto Cervantes, the National Autonomous University of Mexico and the University of Salamanca.
SIELE uses a points system equivalent to CEFR levels from A1 to C1. It is a modular exam, which means students can certify different Spanish skills depending on the exam format they choose.
The SIELE 10 preparation course consists of 2 private lessons per day, Monday to Friday. The lessons focus on personalised preparation for the SIELE exam, including exam format, practice tasks and the skills the student wants to improve. Some Linguaschools destinations are official SIELE exam centres, so students can ask us about exam availability after the course.
This course prepares students for selected Madrid Chamber of Commerce exams, which focus on Spanish in professional and workplace contexts. Exam options may include Spanish for business, Spanish for tourism and Spanish for medicine.
The Business 10 course consists of 2 private lessons per day, Monday to Friday. The lessons focus on personalised preparation for the relevant Madrid Chamber of Commerce exam, including professional vocabulary, exam format and the type of communication required in the chosen field.
Some Linguaschools destinations are official Madrid Chamber of Commerce exam centres. Contact us if you want to take the exam after your preparation course, as exam availability, dates and conditions can vary.
Most Linguaschools courses start on Monday and end on Friday. Starting in the middle of the week is usually not possible for group courses.
Most courses start every Monday throughout the year. If Monday is an official holiday and the school is closed, the course will usually start on Tuesday.
Absolute beginners have fixed start dates. Some special courses, such as exam preparation courses or extensive evening courses, may also have specific start dates. Customised individual lessons can often start on other weekdays, depending on teacher availability.
The exact start time of your first lesson will be shown on your personal page no later than 5 days before your course starts.
Depending on the destination, level, course type and season, lessons may start in the morning or afternoon. In many destinations, morning lessons start between 7:30 and 9:30, but timetables can vary.
Linguaschools schools welcome students of different Spanish levels throughout the year, so we can usually place students in a suitable group.
In the exceptional case that you are the only student at your level, you will receive a reduced number of private lessons instead of group lessons. This gives you individual teacher attention while keeping the course focused on your level and learning needs.
Group Spanish lessons usually take place in the morning or afternoon, depending on the destination, level, course type and season.
As a general indication, group lessons may take place between 9:00 and 14:00 or between 14:00 and 19:00. Timetables vary by destination and may change during busy periods.
Your confirmed timetable will be shown on your personal page before arrival.
The DELE exam, Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera, is an official Spanish exam awarded by Instituto Cervantes on behalf of Spain’s Ministry of Education.
DELE exams follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, CEFR, with levels from A1 to C2.
Linguaschools offers DELE exam preparation courses, and some Linguaschools schools are official DELE exam centres. Contact us if you want to prepare for the DELE exam or take the exam during your stay.
SIELE is an official Spanish proficiency exam that certifies your Spanish level through a points-based system. The results correspond to CEFR levels from A1 to C1.

Please contact the school reception or student support team if you think your group level is not right for you.

Linguaschools students come from many different countries, ages and backgrounds. In our general group courses, most students are adults with different study goals, from short-stay language travellers to long-term students, university pathway students, exam-preparation students, expats, digital nomads and international residents.
The student profile can vary by destination, course type and time of year. In Spain, there may be a higher proportion of younger adult students during the summer months.
