Peñíscola is located on the Costa de Azahar, in the north of the Valencian Community. It’s one of the most popular holiday destinations in the area, and since it’s not too far away, we decided to take the bus and spend a whole day there, discovering a new place.
This is one of the most charming towns in Spain, and that’s why it’s been the setting for many well-known series and films, like Game of Thrones!
We took a guided tour of the old town, visiting the lovely streets and the famous castle. But of course there was also time to sit on a terrace and have some tapas and drinks, enjoying Spain’s slow summer life.
Not a bad way to relax from the hustle of Barcelona, is it?
