Learn Spanish & surf in Tamarindo, Costa Rica

Tamarindo is a legendary surf destination and the waves are suitable for all levels of surfer, including beginners. This unique course combines intensive Spanish lessons with a dedicated surf program, so you learn the language and also discover a new sport. Costa Rica is famous for its Pacific waves and this course is offered all year around.

We offer a complete surf program in partnership with our local partner surf school. You will be placed in a group according to your surfing level and should see big improvements during the course. The surf course can be taken in combination with an Intensive 20 course or private classes

ISA certified surf teachers will get you confident in the water, not just showing you how to catch a wave but how to really ride. Spend 3 or 4 weeks learning Spanish and surfing and you’ll visit different beaches, gaining an ability that you can take to other destinations. After the course you’ll be conversing in Spanish and will know how to read the waves on a new beach.

What happens if there are no waves for my Spanish & Surf program?

Surf lessons depend on weather and sea conditions. If conditions make it impossible to take the surf lessons as planned, the school will offer a suitable solution on location.

This may include postponing the surf lessons, offering an alternative activity or arranging a refund for the missed surf part, depending on the situation and destination.

Do I have to bring my own surfboard or wetsuit for the Spanish & Surf course?

No. Surf equipment is included in the surf course.

You can bring your own surfboard or wetsuit if you prefer, but this is not required.

Can I extend my Spanish & local experiences program after arrival?

Yes, in many cases you can extend your Spanish & local experiences program after arrival, depending on availability, destination and activity schedule.

Please check with the school reception as early as possible if you want to extend your course or activity program.
