A wonderful day in La Garrotxa and Besalú

Last Saturday we took another awesome hiking trip!

We took the bus to hike in La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park, where we could watch some ancient volcanoes and admire the most beautiful volcanic landscapes in our country.

La Garrotxa was also a very important area in the Middle Ages and there are many villages that resemble these times. We visited Besalú, whose perfectly preserved architecture took us back in time to the era of princesses and knights. The impressive bridge led us to the town with stone houses, unique medieval Jewish baths, atmospheric squares, and numerous shops with local crafts.

We had lunch in groups at different restaurants, enjoying fantastic dishes made of typical local products. What an amazing way to escape from the city!
