Student residence accommodation
Stay in a student residence and share part of your experience with other language school students. You can meet other students, explore the local area together, practise your Spanish and enjoy daily student life outside class.
Each student residence is different, and this accommodation type is not available in all destinations. The residences reflect the setting of each destination, from Mexican hostel-style residence accommodation in Guanajuato to beach cabañas in Montañita, central student residence accommodation in Cusco and tropical student houses with shared spaces and swimming pools in Tamarindo.
Cabañas Montañita
We warmly recommend staying at an Eco Cabaña during your time in Montañita. These private houses offer comfort and privacy in a classic Caribbean-style cabaña. The houses are situated in a quiet environment, within a few minutes’ walk from the school, the beach and the town centre. They are spacious and come with a fan, private bathroom and a terrace with a hammock. Most of the houses are situated around a swimming pool and are surrounded by tropical plants. There is also a communal area with a large kitchen. You can book a single, double or dorm room cabaña. Please note that a double room can only be reserved for two students travelling together. If you want to share a room with other students, you should book the cabaña dorm. We mostly have 4-bed dorms, along with one 6-bed dorm. The 6-bed dorm cabaña has two bathrooms and a kitchen inside. You will share the cabaña and its facilities with other students.
Cabañas with kitchen
Best suited to a couple learning Spanish together, these cabañas are larger than the others and include a small kitchen. Students can prepare their own meals and enjoy more privacy and independence during their stay. These cabañas can also be a good option for students who prefer a quieter accommodation setting.
Student residence Cusco
The student residence in Cusco has an excellent location in the centre of Cusco, one block from Plaza de Armas. It is located at the school, so you hardly have to walk to reach the classroom. Single and double rooms are available. You generally share the bathroom, kitchen and living room. The student residence has its own chef preparing a range of Peruvian and international cuisine. This residence can be booked on a half-board basis, which includes breakfast and a three-course lunch. In Cusco, double rooms can also be booked if you are travelling alone.
Student residence Tamarindo
This comfortable student residence is centrally located in Playa Tamarindo, only one block from the beach and from the school. It is set amid a tropical garden. The main floor is an open-plan area with a large community kitchen, a comfortable living room and a spacious dining area. From here, a double door leads into an outdoor sitting area. The setting of the main floor invites students to share activities, such as preparing dinner, playing games, doing homework or talking about their day with other students. The patio is surrounded by large trees and a garden where students can relax in the shade. The bedrooms are single-sex dorm-style rooms. All rooms have a closet and a fan. The showers have hot water. If the residence is fully booked, we will provide alternative accommodation for the same price.
Student residence on-site
This student residence is located right on the student campus. It is a comfortable tropical space, and all rooms have air conditioning. The bedrooms are shared, some with 2 beds and others with 3 beds. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout. Like the other residences, the on-site residence offers a fully equipped kitchen and living area for students. All rooms in the student residence have a security box where valuables can be locked away. If the residence is fully booked, we will offer accommodation in the standard student residence, the Student Residence + or another alternative accommodation for the same price.
Student residence +
The student residence + is located 2½ blocks from the school and 3½ blocks from the beach. This house offers extra comfort in a lush tropical garden. The house is modern, spacious, tastefully furnished and decorated. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a dining area and a lounge room on the second floor. Outside, students can relax under the small rancho or enjoy the medium-sized swimming pool. Each sleeping room has 2 beds, a private bathroom, a closet and a dresser. The rooms are naturally cooled by a ceiling fan and air conditioning. The bathrooms have showers with hot water. These rooms are shared unless otherwise arranged. If this residence is fully booked, we will offer accommodation in the standard student residence, the on-site student residence or another alternative accommodation for the same price.
Student residence Guanajuato
Just a 5-minute walk from the school, Casa Mexicana is a student residence for students at our school in Guanajuato. It is located inside a colonial building with a Mexican atmosphere. You stay with fellow students from different parts of the world, while enjoying a local accommodation setting close to the school. Accommodation options at this residence include breakfast. Single and double rooms are available. The bathroom is shared. Please note that a double room can only be reserved for two students travelling together.
With private bathroom
You also have the possibility to stay in a single or double room with a private ensuite bathroom. The bathroom is for your exclusive use.
Arrival information:
You can book an airport transfer before arrival. A driver will pick you up at the airport and take you to your accommodation or directly to the school, depending on the destination and booking details. The price of a transfer depends on the distance from the airport. Please refer to the prices for the city where you will study. Please note that the airport transfer is a one-way journey. The return transfer after your stay is not included, but can usually be arranged at the school or added to your reservation in advance on request.
Frequently asked questions FAQ
The accommodation price includes basic utility bills such as water, gas and electricity. In some cases, a deposit is required, and we will inform you in advance if this applies. The deposit is refunded after departure if there are no damages or problems.
In most destinations, accommodation includes access to a washing machine. If this is not included, it will be mentioned in the accommodation information.
By default, accommodation is reserved from the Sunday before the course starts until the Saturday after the course ends.
Extra nights may be possible depending on availability and can be requested before arrival. Extra nights are charged separately. In Valencia, Saturday arrival is possible without extra cost. In Montañita and Tamarindo, Sunday departure is possible without extra cost.

Distance varies by destination, accommodation type and availability. Accommodation is always arranged within a practical travel distance of the school.
Some accommodation options are within walking distance, while others require public transport or another form of local travel.

Freshly washed bed linen is provided. Unless stated otherwise, students should bring their own towels.
Half board usually includes breakfast and dinner. Full board usually includes breakfast, lunch or packed lunch, and dinner.
Meal arrangements can vary slightly by destination and accommodation type.
If you are not satisfied with your accommodation, please contact the school reception or student support team. In many cases, small problems can be solved quickly.
If you still want to change accommodation, this may be possible depending on availability and the reason for the request. In some cases, a change fee may apply.
A cleaning service is usually included for common areas such as the bathroom, kitchen and living room.
Students are normally responsible for keeping their own bedroom clean and for everyday tasks such as washing dishes, taking out rubbish and keeping shared spaces tidy after use.
This can vary by destination and accommodation type. In many host families and shared apartments there is no lock on the bedroom. Student residences may offer a room lock, locker or security box, depending on the residence and room type.

In shared apartments and many student residences, students can use the kitchen to prepare their own meals.
In host family accommodation, kitchen use is usually limited. You may be able to prepare a light snack, but students normally do not use the kitchen to cook their own meals. If you want to prepare your own meals, a shared apartment or student residence may be a better option.
