Linguaschools Granada is part of the Linguaschools Spanish language school network and offers Spanish courses in old-town Granada for adults and young adults from around the world. The school combines intensive Spanish courses, long-term study options, university pathway programs, accommodation, a Spanish for 50+ course and cultural activities with the personal atmosphere of a small boutique-style school.
Granada is one of Spain’s most atmospheric university cities, combining Andalusian culture, Moorish heritage, flamenco, tapas and a relaxed student rhythm. It is a city where Spanish learning can continue naturally outside the classroom, in old streets, local bars, cultural events and everyday conversations.
The city is best known for the Alhambra, the Albaicín, flamenco traditions and views of the Sierra Nevada, but Granada is also a very liveable place to study Spanish for several weeks or months. Its historic centre is walkable, the student atmosphere is lively, and daily life feels closely connected to local Andalusian culture.
Granada is especially well suited to students who want a smaller, more relaxed study-abroad experience than Madrid or Barcelona, while still enjoying a rich cultural life. Stay for a short course and you can discover the city’s main sights; stay longer and Granada can become a familiar home base for improving your Spanish, meeting people and experiencing life in Andalusia.

Linguaschools Granada offers Spanish courses for different levels, goals and time commitments, from short intensive courses to longer study programs. The courses are designed mainly for adult learners, including international students, long-term students, university pathway students, exam-preparation students and students who want a cultural immersion experience in Andalusia.
Students can choose group courses with 20 or 30 lessons per week, semi-intensive courses, private lessons, exam preparation, university pathway program and a Spanish for 50+ course. Classes are taught in small groups, with students placed according to their Spanish level so they can learn at the right pace and practise with classmates from different countries and backgrounds.
Classes are taught by qualified native Spanish-speaking teachers and follow a communicative, teacher-led immersion approach. Teachers adapt the pace and focus of the class to the level, rhythm and learning needs of the group, while keeping students actively using Spanish from the beginning.
For students planning to stay in Spain for several months, Linguaschools Granada offers long-term Spanish course options that may be suitable for student visa purposes. Students booking a visa-eligible course can receive personalised guidance on course documentation, timing and the practical steps involved in preparing their Spanish student visa application.
Please note that the school is closed on bank holidays. Half of the group lessons missed due to a bank holiday are made up for. When there are 2 public holidays in 1 week, 1 day of missed group lessons will be made up for. When there are less than 2 students on a group course, the number of lessons will be reduced proportionally.
Linguaschools Granada offers accommodation options for students who want a practical and comfortable base while studying Spanish in the city. Options include shared apartments and host families, both suitable for students who want to stay close to the school and experience daily life in Granada.
Accommodation in Granada is within walking distance of the school, making it easy to get to class, join activities and enjoy the city without depending heavily on public transport. Shared apartments are a good option for students who prefer more independence, while host families offer more contact with local life and Spanish outside the classroom.
Accommodation is especially useful for students coming from abroad, long-term students and those planning a longer stay in Spain. Availability, room type, meals and distance can vary depending on the accommodation option and booking period.
Learning Spanish in Granada is not only about the classroom. Linguaschools Granada organises cultural activities throughout the year, helping students practise Spanish, meet other international students and discover the city through local experiences.
Activities can include tapas evenings, neighbourhood walks, flamenco-related activities, cultural visits, workshops and excursions connected to Granada and Andalusia. The program is organised locally, so students can experience the city in a more personal way while using Spanish in real situations outside class.
Granada is especially strong for cultural immersion. The city’s old town, Albaicín, flamenco traditions, tapas culture, university atmosphere and nearby Sierra Nevada give students many ways to keep learning and practising Spanish after lessons have finished.
