When people visit Barcelona they want to visit Sagrada Familia, Park Guëll and all the other beautiful buildings designed by Antoni Gaudí and maybe they also go to Palau de la Música designed by Lluís Domènech y Montaner. But this architect also designed an amazing hospital!
Hospital Sant Pau, a city within the city. Sant Pau is the world’s largest Art Nouveau complex, as well as being the most important work by Lluís Domènech y Montaner, the architect of Modernisme, the Catalan Art Nouveau. The hospital comprises an architectural complex of 12 pavilions set in green space and interconnected by a kilometer of underground galleries.
Luckily we went there and admired this artistic beauty with the most amazing ceilings!
