Monday, 11th November

  • Smart City Week: The Smart City Week is a space for reflection and dialogue. This event, which will take place from November 11th to 17th, aims to bring the notions of citizens closer to a city that uses technologies and the accumulated knowledge to achieve a more sustainable, just and inclusive urban environment.

    With the aim of attracting all audiences, different activities have been programmed throughout the city and with a variety of formats, such as dialogues, workshops, cultural and city activities or family activities.
    All in all to bring different profiles to the concept of smart city. The program proposes a tour based on three thematic itineraries arranged on a temporary scale: “Transforming the city today”, “Transforming the city tomorrow” and “Transforming the city of the future.”
    Ca l’Alier will host the inauguration of the SCW on November 11 at 18:30. This old factory in Poblenou, which is the headquarters of the Urban Innovation Center of Barcelona, ​​will also be the epicenter of programming. Check all scheduled activities here.


Tuesday, 12th November

  • Proyección de “Joy Division Documentary”: A documentary about the mythical band by Ian Curtis. Tonight at 20:00 at the Polaroid bar, Carrer Còdols 29, Metro Drassanes (L3). 


Wednesday, 13th November

  • Bornholmer Strasse: On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the fall of the wall, the Goethe-Institut Barcelona continues with the #CineClubGoethe cycle, this time dedicated to “Berlin – city of changes and transitions”. The cycle will show classics, such as Fritz Lang’s thriller “M – a city seeks a murderer”, “Heaven over Berlin”, Wim Wenders’s poetic tribute to the divided city, and “Goodbye, Lenin!”, A tragicomedy of Wolfgang Becker that passes after the fall of the wall. But there will also be films that have passed in recent years, such as “You have to be tough”, which was filmed in the streets of Neukölln, a neighbourhood with many social tensions, or “Art Girls”, a hilarious satire on the artistic scene that has as the stage Berlin-Mitte. Thursday, 14th November

    BOOT CAMP RUN: 5k (3,11miles) around Barcelona to some great party tunes with three breaks to work out our abs! Target pace will be between approx. 4min/km to 6min/km. To truly enjoy the night, you must be capable of running comfortably a distance of 5k.


Friday, 15th November

  • Festival of Vintage Culture: A 3-day festival dedicated to the vintage and retro culture in the heart of Barcelona. Live Bands, Dj’s, Bars, Food Trucks. 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s: FURNITURE • DESIGN • HOUSE • DECOR • LIGHTS • CLOTHES VINYLS • GAMES • TOYS • CARS • MOTORCYCLES • BICYCLES • VANS. Today, Saturday and Sunday at Fira Montjuic, metro: plaza Espanya (L1, L3, L8).

Saturday, 16th November

  • Club Monumental: Monumental Club is a cultural festival that brings together live music, DJ’s, a market and gastronomy in an emblematic and unique space of the city: La Monumental, the last place in Catalonia where bullfights were held until 2012. So a great opportunity to see the ring from inside. Entrance €5. Today from 12:00 to 22:00 at La Monumental, Gran Via de les Corts Catalans 749, metro Monumental (L1).

Sunday, 17th November

  • Barcelona Knits Festival: This fair specialised in wool in Barcelona, created for and by knitters will be held on 16 and 17 November at the WTC Barcelona, in a bright open space overlooking the sea at the end of Las Ramblas in the old port area. Barcelona Knits will gather more than 40 national and international brands in an unique space to offer both products and services related with the art of knitting. Wool producers, small artisans, spinners, indie dyers, prestigious designers, accessory designers for knitters and publishers will come together at the fair.
    Barcelona Knits will count with 20 knitting and crocheting workshops taught by first class designers.
    In order to enjoy even more the Barcelona Knits’ experience, there will be a variety of entertaining activities during the weekend.
