Visit to the Royal Palace of Madrid

Madrid is a city full of charm and wonderful sites. Apart from the numerous plazas (squares), one of the places that you cannot miss if you are in the Spanish capital is the Royal Palace.

The Royal Palace of Madrid is undoubtedly one of the most emblematic monuments of Spain. It’s the official residence of the King (although he doesn’t live there) and it has nothing more and nothing less than more than 3,400 rooms! To give you an idea of what that means, the Palace of Versailles has 2,300 rooms and Buckingham Palace has “only” 775.

Best of all, it’s located in the city center, very close to the famous Puerta del Sol and the Plaza Mayor.

At Linguaschools Madrid, we not only want our students to learn Spanish but also to get to know the most famous sites in our city. Therefore, a few days ago we organized a visit to the Royal Palace.

As we know that many students have a fairly tight budget, we went one day in the afternoon when the visit was free. We visited the 20 rooms open to the public, among which the Throne Room, the Chamber with the royal jewels, the Stradivarius Hall stood out. The King didn’t come to meet us in person this time but next time we will call him in advance ?.
