Student Review: Learning Spanish in Granada – Bashar from Palestine

Bashar is 24 years old, from Palestine, and has a passion for learning languages and discovering new cultures. He already speaks Arabic and English, and decided that Spanish would be his third language.

That decision brought him to Granada, where he has been studying Spanish at Linguaschools. Recommended by his friend Víctor, who had previously studied with us, Bashar chose Granada for its relaxed atmosphere, beauty and student-friendly lifestyle.

We spoke with him about learning Spanish, his experience at Linguaschools Granada and the places and memories that have made his stay special.

Could you tell us a little about your experience in Granada so far?

My experience in Granada has been very good. It’s a peaceful, affordable and beautiful city, and I think it’s perfect for students. I feel very comfortable living here and it’s a great place to learn Spanish.

My favourite place is Sacromonte because it has beautiful views and a very special atmosphere. I would definitely recommend visiting it.

One of my best memories is simply spending time in the city centre. I really love the atmosphere there and being able to enjoy the city.

Why did you decide to learn Spanish, and how has the course helped you achieve your goals?

I decided to learn Spanish because it’s one of the most important languages in the world and millions of people speak it.

Thanks to the course, my Spanish has improved a lot. Now I can communicate with people and have simple conversations. Every day I feel more confident speaking Spanish, which is something I’m very happy about.

Having fewer students in class means that everyone has more opportunities to participate. During the lessons, we speak a lot of Spanish and practise together. This has helped me improve my level and, especially, feel more confident when I speak.

Before coming, my main goal was to learn how to speak Spanish. Now I can say that my expectations have been met because I’ve learned a lot and I can already communicate with other people in Spanish. Being able to use the language in everyday life makes me feel that I’ve made real progress.

What did you think about the school’s cultural activities?

I really enjoyed the cultural activities because they helped me learn more about Spanish culture, customs and traditions.

They also gave me the opportunity to discover Granada better. It was a really nice experience and a good way to learn outside the classroom as well.

What would you say to someone thinking about studying Spanish at Linguaschools Granada?

I would recommend coming to Linguaschools Granada without hesitation. The teachers are very friendly and professional, and they’re always willing to help.

Studying Spanish here is a great experience because you don’t only learn the language. You also discover Spanish culture and meet people from many different countries.

Thanks, Bashar! We’re very happy to hear that Granada has become such a special part of your Spanish-learning journey. We hope you keep enjoying the city, discovering new places and, of course, speaking more and more Spanish every day!
