At the end of March, a group of Dutch students came to our school in Madrid. They took our Spanish course to improve their language skills while doing internships. Some worked as assistant teachers at an international school, while others got hands-on experience as support staff in a daycare. This way, they not only learned Spanish but also picked up practical skills. Combining the course with internships gave them a great chance to get to know the language and culture of Spain better.
Besides their classes and internships, the students visited some popular spots in Madrid. They started at Plaza Mayor, a big square with cozy terraces and pretty buildings, where they enjoyed the lively atmosphere.
In Parque del Buen Retiro, they checked out the Palacio de Cristal, a cool glass building surrounded by nature. They also visited the Monument of Alfonso XII, which sits by a large pond where you can relax and even row a boat. The park was a lovely spot to enjoy both nature and the architecture.
They also explored the Museo del Prado, a famous museum with lots of art. A statue of Diego Velázquez at the entrance reminded everyone of Spain’s rich art history. The art really left an impression on the students.
This trip to Madrid turned out to be a special experience for the students. They learned a lot, saw amazing places, and made memories that will last a lifetime.
Why not try it yourself? Pack your bags, dive into a new language adventure, and discover the wonders of Madrid—you might just create memories you’ll cherish forever!
