Discovering Churros con chocolate

Winter is coming to an end, and the first rays of sunshine are starting to peek through the city. To say goodbye to this cold season, we went to try the famous churros with a good cup of hot chocolate. This is not only a delicious Spanish tradition but also a perfect opportunity to immerse ourselves in the local culture while continuing to improve our Spanish.

Churros are a traditional Spanish sweet that has become a symbol of Spain’s cuisine. These delicious bites, made from fried dough, have a crispy exterior and a soft interior. They are typically served in long strips and sprinkled with sugar. Although they are usually enjoyed early in the day, they also make the perfect snack in the afternoon.

At Granja Dulcinea, an iconic spot in Barcelona, we were able to experience this tradition firsthand. This small but cozy place, which has been serving churros for over 60 years, is the ideal place to try them and learn more about Spanish culture.

This afternoon of churros also allowed us to get to know each other a little better and thus make more friends at school and in the city. We are looking forward for the next activities, and you?
