Federico García Lorca’s Birthplace, Granada

Granada not only has many attractions in the city center but also on the outskirts. Fuente Vaqueros is a town just 20 kilometers from Granada and it’s home to the birthplace of the illustrious poet Federico García Lorca. Did you know he was a student at the Granada University?

The house was built in 1880 by the poet’s father and has the original objects of the Lorca family, as well as family memories. Entering this house-museum will take you back to the beginning of the 20th century since it has original furniture and exclusive works of art.
