DROP #17 ‘A 2020 Dance Party: It’s 2020 baby. You made it: new year, new you (lol), same groove. Let’s celebrate the opening of a new decade with a funkalicious boogie and the usual antics (some things never change). Joining us at the helm in our first rave of the year is Jad & The, the Berlin-based Australian producer who’s renowned for soulful grooves on one of the underground House scenes best labels, Toytonics.
D.R.O.P is a monthly night celebrating true dance music culture. We welcome all those with open minds and open hearts. Let us take you on a musical journey through the history of House, Disco, Funk, Soul and Groove from the lofts of Chicago, Detroit and NY winding up in the basements of Berlin, Amsterdam and London. Our philosophy is simple: ‘Music is made for dancing, and everybody is equal on the dancefloor’. Join us in championing freedom of expression and celebrating diversity.

Live Bossa Nova music “Ganza”: The Brazilian Lari Antunes resident in Barcelona will offer on Sunday her particular journey through the universe of the most divine carioca genre of all -the one that was invented more than half a century ago by Antonio Carlos Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes- and by other accents of the most rhythmic galaxy of all. Lari will be accompanied by a saxophone, cajon and guitar, a quintet of the most respected Brazilian music in the diaspora. He has traveled half the world, has rubbed shoulders with musicians such as Toninho Horta and has participated in festivals. The most tropical and universal music of all will fill with sensuality the walls of the fiftieth-century cava every thirty days. Tonight at 19:00 at OD Barcelona, C/ Aragón 300, metro Girona (L4).
