Granada is one of the favorite cities for students who come to our country to learn Spanish.
Located just 30 kilometers from Sierra Nevada and 60 kilometers from the sea, it has a perfect location for both beach and mountain lovers. In addition, it has a rich multicultural history and many interesting sites to visit. However, the city’s most famous monument is, without doubt, the Alhambra.
The Alhambra in Granada is the maximum expression of the Nasrid art in Spain and it’s a mandatory visit for any student or tourist. This building is a set of palaces and gardens that served as the residence of the Arab king until 1492. It has magnificent views of the city and its surroundings as well as Sierra Nevada.
But that’s not all. Even the road to the Alhambra is a small natural monument, a huge forest with fountains and sculptures that you shouldn’t miss.
If you want to visit this emblematic building, you can join the excursions we organize in Linguaschools Granada. If you prefer to do it on your own, keep in mind that tickets are usually sold out quite quickly so it’s recommended that you book your ticket in advance.
A tour around the Alhambra and the Generalife gardens takes around three hours. If you like art, you can include a visit to the Museum of Fine Arts of Granada, that’s located inside the Palace of Carlos V.
